We recommend always speaking to your physician before taking any CBD product with your medications, as CBD can influence pharmaceutical metabolism. Like grapefruit juice, CBD inhibits cytochrome p450, so take extra precaution if your medication has a warning to not consume with grapefruit juice.

Research is still in the very early stages for determining whether CBD is safe to take while pregnant or breastfeeding. Due to the lack of research, we recommend always speaking to your physician before using any CBD products.

Unfortunately, not enough research has been done to determine whether it is safe to give children CBD products. We recommend always speaking to your child’s pediatrician prior to giving them any product containing CBD

Yes! Our products are made with non-GMO hemp, grown here in the United States of America without the use of pesticides.

Yes! In fact, we encourage you to recycle packaging or find new uses for the containers.

When designing our comprehensive wellness programs we opted for capsules and softgels rather than tinctures for several reasons. First, capsules and softgels enable users to know exactly how much CBD they are taking each and every time. Second, they afford convenient and discreet usage, perfect if you’re on the go or at work. Lastly, tincture bottles can be difficult to open and do not contain the same assurances for consistent dosing.

The Balance Program provides information on nutrition, exercise, and mindfulness practices, specific for mental well-being.

The Relief Program provides information on nutrition, exercise, and mindfulness practices to support physical well-being and reduce body discomfort.

The Rest Program provides information on nutrition, exercise, and mindfulness practices, that promote mechanisms supporting healthy sleep.

Our capsules are isolate based, meaning they contain zero THC, and will not test positive. Although our products are formulated with Government-Compliant hemp derived CBD (meaning less than 0.3% THC content), it is possible that our Full-Spectrum products (Softgels and Gummies) could show up on a drug test. Always consult your physician before using any Dr Love CBD products especially if you have concerns about drug-testing.

Searching for the right plant-based products can be difficult if you don’t know where to start. In general, most hemp-based products are formulated to be either Full spectrum, Broad spectrum or isolate based.

But what are the differences?

Full-Spectrum refers to plant-derived products that have utilized whole plant matter. In other words, plant-based products, such as hemp, contain more than just CBD. When using a full spectrum products, not only are you getting access to CBD but you’re also utilizing the plants other constituents such as CBG, CBN, etc. Working together, these plant components can produce a synergistic effect (see entourage effect!) to help increase the beneficial value of the product. Keep in mind that due to regulations of hemp products, full spectrum hemp-derived CBD contain less than 0.3% THC, meaning that there should be no intoxication associated with its use.

Broad-Spectrum is essentially the same as a full spectrum extracted product, but it does not contain any THC. In a broad spectrum formula you still have all the beneficial constituents of the plant (minus THC) working together to enhance benefit and aid in symptom management . Broad-spectrum CBD is an excellent choice for individuals that cannot have any traces of THC is their system, whether for legal purposes, medical reasons, or a sensitivity to THC.

But what if I only want CBD?

Isolates are a perfect choice for those individuals who want a single compound or constituent from their extracted product. Isolates, as previously mentioned, refer to products that have been formulated to make use of a sole plant constituent. With a CBD-isolate formula, you can make use of the therapeutic value of CBD without worrying about any trace amounts of THC, or other plant matter you may be sensitive to.

Bottom line? Every individual is different. When choosing a full spectrum, broad spectrum, or an isolate based product, it would be recommended to consider the following:

Allergies to plant based materials such as terpenes? → Go with Isolate based products. Legal reasons? (you may not want any trace of THC in your body) → Go with Isolate or Broad Spectrum products. Want to take full advantage of all the plant constituents working together → Go with Full Spectrum Products

Hopefully this makes things a little easier, As always be sure to consult your healthcare practitioner before starting any Dr Love CBD products. For more information see our other content.

The endocannabinoid system plays an important role in maintaining the function of our brain, endocrine, and immune tissues. Its purpose is to act as a regulatory system for hormone function and direct responses to physical and mental stress. In simple terms, the endocannabinoid system, found within our body, helps us to maintain our health.

Cannabinoids are chemical molecules that interact with this system, producing a variety of effects. In general cannabinoids can fall into three classifications:

Endogenous cannabinoids: also known as endocannabinoids, are molecules made by your body that help keep internal functions running smoothly. For example, anandamide and 2-arachidonoylglycerol are naturally produced by your body and play important regulatory roles.Phytocannabinoids: refer to any cannabinoid that is naturally occurring within the cannabis family of plants. These can also be called Exogenous cannabinoids as they are obtained from an external source and not produced in your body naturally. An example of a phytocannabinoid would be THC and CBD derived from cannabis or hemp plants.Synthetic cannabinoids: are cannabinoids that are fully synthetic and created in a laboratory. An example would be MARINOL®, a medicine that was developed synthetically to prevent nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite and loss of weight. Unfortunately, there is not much information about the full effects of synthetic cannabinoids in humans, although some of them have already been shown to cause distress, panic and other complications. These are also called Exogenous cannabinoids as they are obtained from an external source and not produced in your body naturally.

To learn more about Cannabinoids and their effects, please visit some of our video content, or community pages! As always, be sure to refer to your healthcare provider before starting any Dr Love CBD products.

THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is a cannabinoid that produces psychoactive effects when ingested (make you ‘high’). THC is found in both hemp and marijuana plants; however, THC concentrations differ, as hemp plants contain no more than 0.3% THC and marijuana plants contain much higher levels of THC.

Terpenes are aromatic oils produced by numerous plants and some insects. Terpenes work together with cannabinoids, such as CBD and THC, to produce a variety of therapeutic and psychoactive effects. You will notice that many skin care and makeup products contain compounds such as bisabolol, limonene, and linalool (found in plants such as lavender). All three are examples of terpenes.

Our hemp comes from farms in Kentucky, Oregon, Utah, and Florida.

Yes! All of the farms that supply the hemp used in Dr Love CBD products are certified organic and do not use pesticides on their plants.

Along with CBD, and other useful cannabinoids, some our hemp-derived products contain trace amounts of THC. These trace amounts are considered very low, and do not produce any intoxication. While it is unlikely that you’d fail a traditional drug test from using our products, because some of them do contain trace amounts of THC , the possibility cannot be ruled out. All Dr Love CBD products adhere to the strict guidelines outlined by the Farm bill, where our products never exceed the THC amount of 0.3%. However, If you’re subject to a zero-tolerance drug policy at work or elsewhere, please know that some of the more sensitive drug tests can come back positive for THC.

As always, be sure to consult your doctor before starting any Dr Love CBD Product, and be sure that our products do not interfere with your workplace (or other) policy.

Reapply as necessary but do not exceed 5 applications within a 24-hour period, as skin sensitivity may result..

Many individuals stop taking CBD before it begins to fully work. This is often due to our familiarity with the action and result model of things. With CBD it takes time for your body to get used to it. CBD needs to be taken like a daily vitamin so that its levels remain in your system. It does not function like a prescription painkiller, taken only for acute symptoms. This is not to say you won’t feel rapid results, as some individuals experience benefits quite quickly, but in order to achieve maximum benefit, we have found that most people need about 4-12 weeks of consistent CBD supplementation to start seeing significant improvements!

Additionally, CBD can be costly and many patients are forced to stop taking CBD or not taking enough due to cost issues. These issues, along with a lack of education surrounding CBD, makes it so that many people are under-dosing and not taking it properly. Knowing this, we at Dr Love CBD have designed all our programs to not only get you the amount of CBD you need, but doing so at an amazing value. Think of it this way, in order to get the full benefits of CBD you need to: have enough CBD daily for a prolonged period, be aware of how it interacts with your body, and stay up to date with advances in CBD research.

This is a lot of barriers that the current legislation and lack education surrounding hemp, has caused. This is why Dr Love CBD is proud to be the first doctor-created and doctor-endorsed CBD wellness program, where not only do we give you specially formulated CBD products but we also provide education on exactly how to take it in the most beneficial way. All of our programs are designed to supply 60 days worth of CBD to start with, so that we ensure that you can get enough CBD daily, at the right concentration, for the right amount of time, in a simple to follow way. Our programs are also structured to provide you with health education, and guidelines that will help make positive life changes leading to improvements in your health. Designing our program for 60 days allows our members to slowly incorporate many of the program health guidelines, and do so at a reduced cost.

There are two different pricing structures depending on how you choose to order. When you choose a Two-Month Bloom Program, you get several benefits. First, you receive a 20-25% discount on all products contained in the program. Secondly, your payments are taken on a monthly basis as opposed to paying for the entire 60-day supply at one time. And remember you can pause or cancel anytime, and all first-time orders are risk free with our 60-day risk free guarantee.

Yes, applicable sales taxes are applied to orders.

Hemp & CBD

Natural endogenous endocannabinoids (those produced by our bodies) are not the only molecules that can promote functions within the endocannabinoid system. In fact, another type of cannabinoid molecules can also produce function in a very similar way. These are called Exogenous cannabinoids (or phytocannabinoids) because there are obtained from an external source such as plants, or medications.

CBD for example is an exogenous cannabinoid derived from hemp (or cannabis), and has been a recent topic of many medical treatment studies regarding therapeutic effects and safety. CBD acts upon receptors located throughout the body stimulating a variety of potentially positive outcomes. By stimulating the endocannabinoid system, CBD can support homeostasis, reduce discomfort (pain sensations, decreases inflammation), and more.

CBD is a non-psychoactive compound meaning that it does not cause intoxication and cannot make people ‘high’. THC on the other hand, is a psychoactive compound and produces a ‘high’.

Unfortunately no. Hemp seed oil is derived from the seeds of hemp plants, which contain no cannabinoids (CBD). CBD oil (sometimes called Hemp Oil) is made from the entire hemp plant, especially the buds as these are what contain cannabinoids. Always check the ingredients to confirm that what you’re buying contains CBD and is not plain hemp oil.

When it comes to taking CBD, the optimal dose for an individual depends on several factors such as body type, tolerance, and the level of discomfort they are feeling. Additionally, the type of CBD-based product and its concentration are also important factors that can affect the dosage and user experience. This is why at Dr Love CBD we advise all our users not to consume more than 1500mg of CBD per day. As always, it is advised that you consult your doctor before starting any CBD product or program.

Yes there are medications that interact with CBD, this is why we at Dr Love CBD always advise that you speak to your primary healthcare providers to insure our programs or CBD products are right for you. CBD has been found to have possible interactions with any drug that is metabolized by CYP450 enzymes, this may include:

Steroids, HMG CoA Reductase Inhibitors, Calcium Channel Blockers, Antihistamines, Prokinetics, HIV Antivirals, Immune Modulators, Benzodiazepines, Antiarrhythmics, Antibiotics, Anesthetics, Antipsychotics, Antidepressants, Anti-Epileptics, Beta Blockers, Oral Hypoglycemic Agents, and Sulfonylureas.

Please note that this list does not include all of the potential medications impacted by CBD. Nor will every medication in the category contained on this list cause an interaction. As mentioned earlier, this is why you should consult with a medical professional before supplementing with CBD or using any Dr Love CBD product.

An easy and consistent method of dosing, especially when compared to the messy and inconsistent dosing of the eye dropper method used with CBD tincturesA tasteless experience. Many hemp derived products can have a bitter taste, we want to maximize the conditions that get you to take CBD consistently, this is why we prefer capsules as many skip their CBD dosing due to the bitterness of tinctures.Discretion, we understand that the conversation around Hemp and CBD can be a sensitive subject. It is also important that your take CBD consistently throughout your wellness journey, this is why we prefer capsules as you can take them on the go, whether you are at work, family dinner, or just relaxing on your own. No waste CBD, unlike tinctures where you can lose lots of products from oil coating left on the lid, bottle, and dropper.

It is possible to take too much CBD; however, the National Cancer Institute reports that overdosing on CBD is virtually impossible. Although rare, taking too much CBD can result in the following side effects: diarrhea (usually occurs when taking too much CBD oil specifically), nausea, dry mouth, changes in appetite or weight, and low blood pressure. For these reasons, we always recommend speaking to your physician before taking CBD, as well as following the dosing instructions provided on each bottle.

It is important to increase the amount of CBD you take gradually, especially if you are a new user, so you do not experience any negative side effects. If side effects persist, discontinue use and consult your doctor immediately.

Note: Because cannabinoid receptors are not located in the brainstem, an area controlling vital functions such as breathing, lethal overdoses from cannabinoids do not occur. Conversely, opioid receptors are heavily located in the brain stem, which is why it is exceptionally easy to overdose on those compounds.*

Should you be worried about taking too much CBD, don’t be! Taking up to 1500mg of CBD (the equivalent of 75 Balance or Rest Capsules), spread throughout the course of the day, is well tolerated in human beings.

Oral Consumption – This includes CBD edibles, oils, and tinctures. This method typically takes around 30-90 minutes to initiate (as it must be digested and then processed by your liver before it enters your bloodstream), but the benefits last for approximately 4-8 hours depending on a number of factors including – the last time you ate, your metabolism, and the amount of CBD taken. Note: if taking CBD orally, it is best to take it with food to increase bioavailability.

Sublingual Consumption – This includes oils and tinctures that are placed and held under the tongue (for approximately 1-minute) to be rapidly absorbed into your bloodstream. Benefits for sublingual ingestion typically begin within 5-30 minutes. Some will also place CBD tinctures or oils on their gums to decrease absorption time given the number of blood vessels close to the surface of your gums. Again, the benefits are present for approximately 4-6 hours.

Vaping – This method is by far the fastest of the three in terms of benefit onset. When CBD is inhaled, it is readily absorbed into the bloodstream via the capillaries (thin blood vessels that exchange oxygen and other compounds with the lungs) and benefits begin in a little as 1-5 minutes. The main difference with vaping CBD is that the benefits last for a shorter time, approximately 2-3 hours.

Topicals – Topicals are perfect for those with inflammation, pain, or other conditions causing physical discomfort. For example, CBD infused skin care is beneficial for those with psoriasis and acne as the CBD is applied at the site of inflammation. CBD infused balms or rubs are excellent for those with arthritis or sore muscles as CBD is absorbed through the skin. Topicals typically take around 3-20 minutes for onset of benefits; however, the benefits last 4-6 hours on average (unless you are applying CBD cream to your hands, as you will need to be mindful of when you wash your hands as that will remove the CBD cream).

In reality, the best way to take CBD is the method that best fits your lifestyle.

It can be difficult to determine whether CBD is working or not due to the fact that it does not produce a new sensation. Instead CBD aids in the reduction of symptoms already present. For example, when an individual suffers from chronic pain and takes CBD, instead of looking for an added effect or sensation, they would need to evaluate their pain level overtime. It is the decrease in symptoms that let one know the benefits of CBD have begun.

CBD is known as a biphasic compound, meaning that it produces different effects at different concentrations. When CBD is taken in low dosages it can benefit energy and alertness.* However, when large doses are taken at one time, calming and sedating properties are observed. Interestingly, the calming/sedating properties are largely due to the fact that CBD restricts the release of cortisol (the stress hormone) allowing our bodies to feel at peace and deeply relaxed.

Cannabinoids, like CBD, degrade (breakdown) when exposed to light, heat, or oxygen. Therefore, it is important to keep your CBD products away from light in a cool area (preferably the refrigerator), and tightly sealed. You will notice that CBD oils and tinctures typically come in amber, or other dark colored bottles. This helps to shield the CBD molecules from light.

No, CBD is a non-addictive substance, and you cannot become physically dependant on it.

CBD is increasingly used for pets. There is currently only a small body of research regarding how CBD benefits pets, and it mainly focuses on the benefits of CBD for conditions such as pain and seizures. Small doses of CBD are thought to offer wellness benefits for pets.* We recommend speaking to your veterinarian prior to giving any CBD product to your pets, or any animal. Note: always take your pets weight into consideration when determine CBD dosages
